Shopify Chat - turning conversation into conversion

As of August 2019 Shopify has introduced a new feature which allows you to connect with your customers - it’s called Shopify Chat.
What is Shopify Chat?
In the most simplest of terms Shopify Chat is a free sales channel that gives your customers a seamless and effortless way to contact you via your website. Customers can chat with you whilst they browse your Shopify store and considering making a purchase. You can answer questions and give recommendations, making the whole shopping experience a better one.
So how does it work?
First of all you’ll need to install the Shopify Chat app on your store, which you can then connect to the Shopify Ping app on any iOS device. When everything is synced and ready to go a chat icon will appear on your website usually in the bottom right of the screen.
When a customer clicks the icon it will open a chat dialogue window which they can use to converse with you or your team.
Whilst the chat window is open, the customer will still be able to navigate around your store, click between pages and make purchases whilst all the time keeping that connection open. Should for any reason the chat window close, or the customer navigates away from the store, Shopify will keep the chat history for a short period of time so all is not lost.
As a Shopify store owner, you’ll receive these messages via Shopify Ping which you can use to answer any and all questions via the Ping app on your iOS device.

All you have to do is install the app from here and follow the installation guide - it really is as simple as that! You’ll then have the ability to talk with your customers turning conversation into conversion!
