Creating a visual identity for emerging UK music artist
Coebe Goddard’s debut album - Sweet Dreams, is an emotional and hazy, genre defying, product of it’s time that could only be made in the UK. Meandering sonically from downtempo, rare groove driven hip hop to sub bass driven tech-house dub. All topped off with Coebe’s heart felt, half sung/half spoken word lyric.
Assets for digital & analogue music
Music and graphics have always had an undeniable synergy. So, we jumped at the chance to design a brand identity and sleeve artwork for Coebe’s debut long player. The initial assets required were a Logotype for use in both digital and print mediums and digital Sleeve Artwork for use on digital music platforms such as iTunes, Soundcloud and Spotify. With full print artwork for both CD and Vinyl formats to follow as the project progresses.
The client/agency relationship
Understanding the clients aims and thought process behind the project was essential in developing ideas and concepts that reflected the clients musical vision and personal aesthetic. A good relationship was pivotal in ensuring clear communication during both the initial creative process and the inevitable design revisions as the project reached conclusion.
